About the player
Liu Xinxiang came through the Jiangsu Suning academy. In the 2019 Chinese Super League Reserves season he made 15 appearances for the club's reserve side and scored once. That season also marked his registration with Shanghai SIPG, though he never featured for the club's first team, and he was taken off the club's list in the summer of 2019.
His path after Jiangsu Suning ran through smaller clubs rather than a leap to the top flight. In April 2021 he moved to Kunshan FC. Kunshan FC was dissolved in December 2022, leaving Liu a free agent. He returned to competitive football on 1 January 2024, joining Xuzhou Xugao.
At international level, Liu was capped four times by China's under-20 side without scoring. He has no senior caps and no club titles or individual honours to his name.
