Bridlington Town

Bridlington Town's biggest afternoon came at Wembley in May 1993, when Alan Radford's goal beat Tiverton Town 1–0 and brought the FA Vase to the East Yorkshire coast. It capped a season in which the club had already won the Northern Premier League Division One, and it came three years after they had lost the same final, in 1990.

The club that lifted the Vase was not, strictly, the one founded in 1918 as Bridlington Central United and reformed two years later under its present name. In 1994, not long after that Wembley win, financial trouble forced the original company to fold following a spell playing away from home at Doncaster Rovers. Bridlington Town was rebuilt, and the new club wasted little time proving itself: it won the Northern Counties East League Premier Division in 2002–03 after opening the campaign with fourteen straight wins, and went on to reach the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round that same season.

Further Northern Counties East League titles followed in 2008–09, and the East Riding Senior Cup became something of a habit, won five times between 2012 and 2018. The club now plays at the Mounting Systems Stadium, formerly known as Queensgate, in red and white as "The Seasiders".

For decades the fixture that mattered most was the Bridlington derby against Bridlington Trinity, the town's other senior club. Trinity folded in 1990.
