Dobrudzha

On 23 December 1945, a club called Vihar merged with Yunak to form Vihar-Yunak 45. Two years later that side absorbed Spartak, and the name Dobrudzha appeared for the first time. It did not stay put: in 1948 Dobrudzha, Slavia and Dinamo were folded into a club named Orlov; a year later the whole thing split again into Cherveno Zname and Septemvri. Only in 1957 did the three surviving parts come back together under the Dobrudzha name, by which point the city itself had been renamed Tolbukhin, so the club spent the next three decades as Dobrudzha (Tolbukhin).

In 2009 Orlovets, a side from the village of Pobeda, re-registered as Dobrudzha 1919 and moved into Dobrich.

The high point on the pitch came in 1995-96, when Dobrudzha finished seventh in the top flight. Three Bulgarian Cup semi-finals — in 1946, 1947 and 1979-80 — went no further. Promotions have been the more familiar business: the third tier in 2017-18 and again in 2019-20, and the second-tier title in 2024-25.

In 2026 he came back to take charge of the team as head coach.

The green shirts and yellow shorts are worn at the Druzhba stadium, which holds 12,000.
