Goztepe U19

Göztepe's under-19 side went into 2025–26 chasing something the club's academy had never touched: a finish high enough to reach the UEFA Youth League. It got there by finishing the U19 PAF Ligi regular season second, three points behind champions Trabzonspor U19, then turning that around in the play-off final, beating the same Trabzonspor side 3-1. That result made Göztepe only the second club from İzmir, after Altınordu in 2016–17, to reach European youth football.

Pah Franck Goujon scored twice in the final; goalkeeper Nevzat Tan Üzel was named the league's best, and Yusuf Ali Şirin took the final's MVP award. Benjamin Fuchs coaches the side — a name already tied to a Göztepe promotion, having led the senior team to the 1. Lig play-off title in 2017.

The pathway to the first team runs both ways: Yalçın Kayan moved on to Eyüpspor in 2025, while İzzet Furkan Malak went out on loan to Southampton's under-21s, a club under the same ownership as Göztepe since Sport Republic took its stake.

None of it existed without the split of 1925, when a group of young players broke away from Altay SK, unhappy with how the club was run, and set up Göztepe on their own. Muzaffer Koral, one of the founders, scored the winning goal in the new club's first match, a 1-0 win over the very side its players had just left.
