LSK Kvinner Women

The fixture that matters most on the calendar in Strømmen is against Vålerenga, the Oslo club whose women's side has spent the same years chasing the same title.

The club started out as Setskog/Høland Fotballklubb, stitched together in 1989 from the women's sections of two small clubs, Setskog IF and Høland IL. It relocated to Strømmen in 2001 under the name Team Strømmen, and only in 2010, once it became an alliance partner of Lillestrøm SK, did it take the yellow and black of its current name and colours.

What followed was a run few Norwegian clubs, men's or women's, have matched: six straight Toppserien titles from 2014 to 2019, on top of one already won in 2012. Hege Riise is the name most attached to that period. The Norwegian Women's Cup came just as often, six times in all, the first as far back as 1992 under the old Setskog/Høland name. The furthest the club went in Europe was the quarter-finals of the 2018–19 UEFA Women's Champions League, the season the domestic run of titles ended.

None of it dulls what happens when Vålerenga comes to town.
