The Ludwig-Ritter-Halle, also called the Kultur- und Sporthalle, holds just 400 on its benches.

TV Mömlingen grew out of a gathering of sporty youths in February 1895, led by Karl Morgenthaler, the dairy manager of the day; volleyball is now one of the largest departments inside that older multi-sport club. An under-14 side took the German championship in 2009, an under-18 side beat VC Dresden 2-0 in the 2018 final, and in between a beach volleyball pairing won the German under-17 title in 2012. The seniors have had their own moment too, taking the Bavarian League in 2018 and going up to the Regionalliga, while the women's team made the same step to the Regionalliga Süd/Ost back in 2003.

Christian Sossenheimer coached through the youth ranks at Mömlingen before moving on to work in the Bundesliga, and it was under that grounding that his son David came through the club's youth teams between 2010 and 2013. David Sossenheimer left for VfB Friedrichshafen and later Sir Safety Perugia, and he remains the player Mömlingen people point to when the conversation turns to who came out of that small hall in Königsberger Straße.
