Swindon Supermarine

The Hellenic Football League Premier Division was won in 1997–98, but promotion stalled on ground grading at the old Webb's Wood site; only after the second title, in 2000–01, and the necessary work on the ground did the step up to the Southern League Western Division follow. A different route back to a higher division came in 2006–07, when a play-off win over Burnham and Taunton Town lifted the club into the Southern League Premier Division; relegation in 2011–12 was answered six years later with another play-off double, over Evesham United and Wimborne Town, to reach the Premier Division South.

In 1992, Swindon Athletic — whose Southbrook Recreation Ground fell short of grading requirements — merged with Supermarine, formerly the works team of Vickers Armstrong, and the combined club took Swindon Athletic's place in the Hellenic League under the Supermarine name.

Games with Salisbury have their own name, the "War of Wiltshire".

Several players moved on from South Marston into the Football League, among them Kayden Jackson, while two former players, Tom Jones and Matthew Robinson, later returned to manage the club they once played for. Home matches are watched from the Imagine Cruising Stadium, where 350 of the 2,000 capacity is seated.
