The surface is artificial turf, and the heating system lets the room stay warm when the weather outside turns hard.
The hall has never carried a different name. It opened in 2006, and the capacity has sat at 3,164 since that moment.
The main tenants are indoor sports teams. Handball and volleyball clubs make regular use of the floor, and the arena has staged the Polish Volleyball Cup Final Four as well as several final stages of the national handball cup. A basketball All-Star Game took place here once, and it has also seen European Volleyball League matches for the Polish national teams and an international handball meeting between Poland and Spain.
Concerts fill the schedule on non-match days.
The arena shares the city with an outdoor football ground, but the two facilities are not the same place.
