The club, FC Naftan, has played here since the stadium opened in 1970. The seating capacity is 4,520, a figure that does not change much from season to season. The stands are closed on three sides, leaving the fourth side open to the wind that comes off the field. In driving rain, the players here have rarely had anything to do all evening, for the conditions tend to hold the ball down.

The surface beneath the feet is artificial turf. It has been described as the latest generation, but the wear is visible in the seams. It was laid to replace the natural grass that had been used by the reserve side on an adjacent field. The track surrounding the pitch is dark and smooth, a stark contrast to the green of the playing area. It sees use for athletics, but mostly it serves as a boundary.

The stadium has undergone modernization, most recently in October 2023. New running sectors were installed, and the plastic seats replaced the wooden benches that had stayed since the early 2000s. An electronic scoreboard was added in 2012, a small thing, but one that gave the match officials a clearer view of the time. The building in the background is not part of the stadium, but it watches over the games. There is no official attendance record for the venue, not because the numbers were lost, but because the matches rarely drew more than the town could fill. The stadium is quiet when the league is not in session.
