Ballinger Park
Buderim, Australia
The Buderim Wanderers Football Club has called it home since 1979, when they first moved their senior operations to the site. That year marks the beginning of their tenure here, and the club has not looked elsewhere since. There is no distinction between seated and standing areas, just a mix of bodies and coats under the open sky.
Not far from the main pitch lies the Jodie Kenny Field, a synthetic hockey surface unveiled in 2021. The complex covers 60 hectares of council land, a sprawling expanse that includes cricket and tennis courts, but the football ground remains the focal point. Floodlighting installed in the 1980s has kept the lights on for night matches, and a master plan review in 2020 looked toward future upgrades.
