Burgwall-Stadion: Stadium in Bremen

In 1972, around 5,500 people packed in for a promotion qualifier against Bergedorf 85 — Blumenthaler SV won 2-0 but missed out on the step up to the Regionalliga regardless. Two years later, interest in a game against Bremer SV was said to have reached 8,000, a figure that dwarfs the ground's official capacity.

FC Kaiserslautern and Werder Bremen have all played here. A Lotto-Pokal win over Bremer SV in 2020 sent the club through to the main DFB-Pokal draw, and friendlies against Werder have kept coming back to Burgwall since, with another fixture pencilled in for May 2025 alongside a youth DFB-Pokal tie against FC Augsburg.

Between 2014 and 2016 the ground got a new changing-room building rather than a bigger footprint — a job that modernised the facilities without touching the stands. The pitch itself is artificial turf. Beyond Blumenthaler SV, the ground is shared with SV Türkspor Bremen-Nord, DJK Germania Blumenthal and the LG Bremen-Nord athletics section, and it still does regular duty for school sports festivals and multi-event athletics meetings.
