Centro Caribe Sports / NORCECA-FIVB Regional Volleyball Development Center

The Centro Caribe Sports complex in Santo Domingo is not a stadium. It is an administrative headquarters, a cluster of modern offices set into the Corporate Building 11 on Calle José Dolores Alfonseca. The facility was inaugurated on March 6, 2023. The inauguration ceremony drew Thomas Bach, the International Olympic Committee President, and Raquel Peña, the Vice President of the Dominican Republic, alongside organization chief Luis Mejía Oviedo.

There is no playing surface here. No pitch, no court, no stands. The ground does not host matches. For volleyball competitions, such as the upcoming 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games fixtures, the federation utilises existing venues like the Palacio de Voleibol Profesor Ricardo Gioriver Arias, which holds 3,500 spectators. That arena sits within the Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte complex. Another frequent location is the Coliseo 18 de Abril in Santiago de los Caballeros. The federation itself travels to these sites when required.

It is a functional workspace rather than a destination for fans.

The organization, formerly known as ODECABE and CACSO, has overseen regional games since 1960. The office in Santo Domingo centralises its operations. Visitors find desks, meeting rooms and technical support areas. They do not find turnstiles or ticket windows. The site is quiet, distinct from the noise of a matchday. It serves as the base for planning, not for play.
