De Bosk

Harkema, Netherlands

Sportpark De Bosk stands flat and open in Harkema, a village in the province of Friesland, Netherlands. The west side offers 450 seats, a modest block of chairs, while the east side rises into a covered terrace for 2,500 standing fans.

The main pitch is natural grass, marked with white lines. Around the perimeter, eight floodlight masts rise into the air, providing 273 lux of illumination. Harkemase Boys, the amateur side that calls this place home, was founded in 1946. The current facilities may not date back that far, but the connection has remained steady. The club played through the decades here.

The highest attendance recorded at the park was 6,300. That crowd gathered on September 24, 2009, for a KNVB Cup match against Feyenoord. Other cup runs followed, including a 4-2 victory over Willem II in 2012 and a loss to Vitesse in 2006. The pitch has also hosted international youth matches for the KNVB, including games against Denmark and Mexico in 2019.

Inside the complex, the clubhouse known as "Dyksicht" was renovated in 2005.
