DS Arena

The place is known locally as DS Arena now, after a 2011 rebuild that added the clubhouse and the covered stand you see here. Before that, it carried the older name Hobro Stadion.

What distinguishes this ground from the identical one down the road is its lack of a proper roof. A visitor standing on the terraces can see the sky for the whole ninety minutes, and when the wind picks up it does not get caught by cantilevers — it simply passes through. The main stand holds just four hundred and fifteen, a fraction of the total capacity that the stadium now claims on its website. The club won promotion again in 2016–17, and the crowd that day made the record that still stands: six thousand five hundred and ninety-six for a one-nil win over AaB. That figure is the only one that matters here, because it came on the day the team first played in the highest division, not on some random cup tie. The rest of the ground is still catching up.
