Estadio Ana Mercedes Campos

Sonsonate, El Salvador

Formerly: Estadio Municipal de Sonsonate, Estadio Olímpico Municipal

Stadium
Stadium Tatiana Flores de Constante · CC0

In 1967 the municipal ground in Sonsonate was renamed after Ana Mercedes Campos (1930–2013), a javelin thrower from the city, known as "La Morocha", who in 1954 became the first Salvadoran woman to take a gold medal, at the VII Central American and Caribbean Games in Mexico City.

The ground stands at the edge of town on Avenida Morazán, by the colonias 14 de Diciembre and Atonalt. It is run by the Alcaldía de Sonsonate and has no site of its own.

Primera División football has been played on the pitch — C.D. Sonsonate. In 2023, with the Estadio Cuscatlán unavailable, Alianza FC and Santa Tecla FC shifted home fixtures here.
