Estadio Deportivo Cali

What sets this ground apart starts with where it isn't: there is no real street address, because the stadium sits in cane country on the road linking Cali and Palmira, with fields on every side. Construction was already under way in 2007 when workers digging the site turned up pre-Columbian remains.

Locally it carries two names that have outlasted every attempt at a sponsor deal: Estadio de Palmaseca, after the district, and Coloso de Rozo, for Jorge Rozo. Coca-Cola made a run at the naming rights in 2021, another international suitor tried again in 2023, and neither offer stuck. The nearest the ground has come to a rebrand was a single day in September 2021, when it was billed as Estadio Deportivo Cali – Myriam Guerrero, honouring the pioneer of women's football in Colombia.

It is also one of the rare grounds to have shrunk rather than grown. It opened with room for close to 62,000, but in 2017 the authorities capped attendance at 25,000–30,000 over concerns about evacuation routes and the narrow approach roads. A 2018 rebuild swapped much of the standing terrace for 12,000 plastic seats.

The record crowd, 55,000, packed in for a Copa Colombia final against Itagüí Ditaires in November 2010, won 2-0. Eight years later came a different kind of landmark: the visit of Independiente Santa Fe in the Copa Sudamericana finished 1-1.
