Estadio Diego Armando Maradona
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Formerly: Estadio Argentinos Juniors, Estadio Autocrédito Argentinos Juniors, Estadio Búmeran Diego Armando Maradona
When the club rebuilt in concrete on the site of its old wooden ground, the original pitch measured just 96 metres end to end — too short to fit a modern playing surface with terracing on all four sides.
The money was supposed to come from Diego Maradona's transfer to «Барселона». It went elsewhere in the club instead, and construction dragged from 1993 to a formal opening on 26 December 2003, at a cost of eight million dollars.
Maradona had made his professional debut on the old wooden ground on 20 October 1976, aged fifteen, against «Тальерес де Кордова». «Архентинос Хуниорс» carried his name from 2004, sold the rights twice — Autocrédito from 2018, Búmeran from 2022 — then returned to it in 2023.
On 29 June 2004, Lionel Messi played his first match for Argentina's youth side here against Paraguay and scored his first international goal.
On 31 March 1973 it staged a rock festival marking the Peronist election victory, with Sui Generis, León Gieco, Pescado Rabioso and Color Humano on the bill. Daddy Yankee played the new stadium in May 2009. That November the club opened its museum, «Храм футбола», in the space beneath the stands.
