Estádio do Varzim Sport Club

Varzim Sport Club took out a loan in 1929 to buy the land, and the pitch was opened on 13 September 1932. What the ground has instead of a rebuild is a list of stands repaired one at a time.

The Bancada Norte went first, reconstructed across 2013 and 2014; the municipality of Póvoa de Varzim paid the €61,500. Late in 2025 the Bancada Sul's turn arrived — a metal cover, €139,000 plus VAT, again municipal money, due to be finished in January 2026.

A fuller plan existed. In 2018 there was talk of clearing the site altogether, selling the old land and building a training centre in its place.

Before any of that, on 10 August 2012, the first Rock Fest Costa Verde brought Xutos & Pontapés and Moonspell onto the pitch.
