Estadio Feliciano Cáceres

Sportivo Luqueño calls the ground Estadio Feliciano Cáceres , after the man who was the club's first captain and later its president. What stands there today is not what opened in 1921.

That 1999 rebuild is why the ground carries facilities that outsize a 24,000-capacity venue in a satellite city of Asunción: a press room, four dressing rooms with baths, a separate room for match officials, a gym, press boxes, private boxes and a lift, plus an automatic irrigation system for the natural turf. It was fitted out, too, with high-speed internet lines for the international broadcasts the Copa América brought through.

The tournament left its mark on the record books here — Colombia's 3-2 win over Chile in the group stage among the matches played on this pitch, alongside a quarter-final. Since then the stadium has settled into a steadier rhythm, regularly hosting Copa Paraguay knockout football; in 2021 it staged both a last-16 and a quarter-final tie, including Olimpia's 2-0 win over Guaireña.
