The ground it gave its name to belongs to Club Dr. Benjamín Aceval, founded on 6 June 1918. That year marks the one fixed point in the ground's history: capacity was raised to its current 5,000 to meet the club's push into the Intermedia division, the second tier of Paraguayan football. Everything before that — when the first stand went up, what the ground looked like in its early decades — has gone unrecorded, at least in anything that survives in public sources. The pitch is natural grass, and no record of a record crowd has come down either.
