Estádio Manuel Marques
Torres Vedras, Portugal
Formerly: Campo das Covas
The Estádio Manuel Marques in Torres Vedras sits between a railway line and the Sizandro River. Its capacity stands at 2,431, a figure that reflects a shift from a historical venue of 12,000 standing spectators to a fully seated facility following safety regulations. The terraces that once held more are now closed.
The ground retains a natural grass surface, 104 by 67 meters, which was replaced in 2026 after a previous installation dated to 1989.
The venue has a specific role in the domestic cup competitions. In the 2025–26 Taça de Portugal, it hosted the semi-final second leg against Fafe on April 24, 2026. SCU Torreense defeated them 2–0, securing a place in the first national final in 70 years. The match drew a full house of 2,431 spectators, a figure that matches the current capacity of the seated stands. The club reached the Taça Revelação final in May 2025 as well.
Historically, the pitch has hosted matches against top-tier clubs such as Benfica and Rio Ave in cup competitions. The club is currently studying expansion plans to meet the 5,000-seat requirement for the Primeira Liga, though the geography of the site complicates this. The stadium does not host major national finals, which are typically held at the Estádio Nacional in Jamor, nor large-scale concerts.
