Bragantino's real home spent 2025 being torn down, and this pitch in Vila Municipal caught the club for the interim. Nabi Abi Chedid came down and Cícero de Souza Marques took the tenancy — a stopgap that opened for business on 5 May 2025 with a 1-0 win over Mirassol, Isidro Pitta getting the goal that christened it.

What followed pulled in crowds well past what a municipal ground of this size usually sees. Santos brought Neymar down for a friendly against RB Leipzig on 28 May, and the Brazil women's side drew a record 8,412 for a 2-1 win over Japan on 2 June — a number that would fill most of the capacity here twice over relative to what the ground was built for. Between those, it has carried Bragantino's Série A and Paulista fixtures through the year, standing in for a stadium that no longer exists rather than one under repair.

Once Nabi Abi Chedid is rebuilt, the arrangement ends and the ground goes back to the city for public use — a stadium borrowed rather than claimed, doing a season's work before returning to what it was.
