Estadio Municipal de Carapeguá
Carapeguá, Paraguay
The ground sits on the shoulder of Ruta PY01, the highway that carries traffic south out of Asunción. Estadio Municipal de Carapeguá was finished in July 2012, eighteen months after work began at the end of December 2010, built by the contractor Вильяльба Пиньейро with backing from Paraguay's Secretaría Nacional de Deportes. The name has not moved since: no sponsor has been attached to it, and the older label Estadio Teniente 1º Alcides González survives only in local usage.
Two clubs share it, Клуб Спортиво Карапегуа and Клуб Депортиво Карапегуа. Between 2013 and November 2024 no first-division match was played here at all. That gap ended when Либертад met Спортиво Лукеньо in front of a guest list that included the president of the republic.
Its most unusual spell had nothing to do with football. In June 2020, part of the stadium was converted into a quarantine shelter of 100 beds, fitted out with beds, refrigerators and kitchens supplied by local firms — among them the tannery Дурли Лезерс — and by the municipal fund. For those weeks the terraces served a town rather than a fixture list.
The playing surface is natural grass.
