Estádio Olímpico Horácio Domingos de Sousa
Horizonte, Brazil
The Estádio Olímpico Horácio Domingos de Sousa has carried that title since the day it opened, with no rebranding and no sponsor's name bolted on since — but on the terraces and in match reports it is Domingão, and has been for as long as the pitch has been played on.
The name honours a politician who was among the founders of Оризонте Футебол Клубе, the club that still uses the ground as its home. That link explains why the stadium exists at all: it was built for a town side that plays in the top division of the Кампеонато Сеаренсе, in a municipality in the state of Сеара rather than in the state capital.
Since 2020 it has taken on a second occupant. Атлетико Сеаренсе also plays here, which means the pitch — natural grass, cut to 105 by 68 metres — carries a fuller state-championship calendar than a single-club ground of its scale usually would.
