Stadium
Georg-Scherer-Halle
Dachau, Germany
Formerly: Dreifachturnhalle
The best nights here are not for the architecture. They are for the volleyball. The ASV Dachau men's team plays in the German Volleyball Bundesliga and the hall is their home. The capacity is listed as 700, but the record crowd was over a thousand during the 1996 Champions League Final. The seats were full.
The club has known better days, and they know they will not have this hall for long. The structure does not meet the standards required for modern sport, and the demolition notices are up.
