The Gwangyang Football Stadium does not stand in a park or a town centre. It sits inside the POSCO Gwangyang Steel Works complex. The ground opened on March 4, 1993 , built to serve the sports activities of the steel workers. It was the second football-specific stadium in South Korea. POSCO Atoms , now the Pohang Steelers , played their home fixtures here for 1993 and 1994 .
Since 1995 , the stadium has been the home of the Jeonnam Dragons .
It staged the 2007 Korean FA Cup Final between Jeonnam Dragons and Pohang Steelers .
The address is 1641 Baegun-ro, Gwangyang-si, Jeollanam-do . The official website, www.dragons.co.kr , belongs to the club rather than the stadium itself.
