Hala - Plavecký bazén

Příbram, Czechia

Zimní stadion Příbram is not primarily a football ground, yet the city does not lack for pitches. The ice arena sits a short distance from the main football pitch, Stadion Na Litavce, and the two facilities share the same district without ever becoming confused with one another. It stands apart from the football stadium, which is open to the elements, by offering a different kind of enclosure entirely.

The structure arose in 1971, a decade when the city was still expanding its sporting infrastructure. The original capacity was listed at 5,700, but the current seating arrangement has been revised to 3,500, with an additional 700 standing places in the main hall. The reduction does not reflect neglect so much as a shift in how the space is used today. The interior has been updated to meet current requirements, including new barriers and a modern ice resurfacer.

The venue is home to VTJ Příbram, the local ice hockey club, which has played there since its inception as VTJ Dukla Příbram. The building’s proximity to the aquapark complex, also located at Legionářů 378, makes the area a hub for winter sports, though the two facilities operate independently. There is no connection between the ice arena and the football pitch beyond their shared location in the city.

The arena does not host concerts or other non-sporting events, nor does it have a recorded attendance figure that stands out from similar venues. Its purpose is straightforward: to provide a winter sports facility for the local community.
