King Khalid Sports City Stadium
Tabuk, Saudi Arabia
Formerly: King Khalid Sport City Stadium
The King Khalid Sports City Stadium in Tabuk would not look out of place in a desert landscape, which is exactly where it sits.
The venue has undergone a significant transformation recently. Following the promotion of Neom SC to the Saudi Pro League, the club began a series of upgrades to convert the ground into their temporary home. This work included the installation of a new electronic scoreboard branded with the Neom logo, alongside a second screen on the opposite side. The seating arrangement was altered to increase capacity from 10,000 to 12,000, and a dedicated media area was created for press coverage.
Before the new tenants arrived, the stadium was a quiet place for local football. It hosted the Tabuk International Football Tournament in 2016. The club currently using the ground, formerly known as Al-Suqoor, plays here while their own stadium in the NEOM project is built. The relationship with the city is functional rather than intimate; the pitch is natural grass, recently replaced in May.
