Letná Stadium

The epet ARENA stands on a plain above the city. The main stand is built of reinforced concrete, a replacement for the wooden structure that burned down in 1934.

What distinguishes this ground is not its architecture but its position. During the Velvet Revolution in November 1989, the plain and the stadium became the gathering point for hundreds of thousands of people, a moment that still defines the place for those who remember it.

Inside, the atmosphere is shaped by the proximity of the supporters. The pitch is natural grass, and the seating is arranged in two main tiers. The stadium has hosted matches for the Czech national team, including qualifiers for major tournaments, though it has never staged a European final. The capacity is currently listed at 18,357, a fraction of the 34,000 recorded in 1989.
