Likas Stadium sits in the Likas district of Kota Kinabalu, tucked between the sea and the city's business district.

The ground has been here since 1983, but it is the 2001 rebuild that defined what it is today. That was when it was expanded for the 2002 SUKMA Games, adding the synthetic track visible around the field and bringing the capacity to 35,000. It is a massive figure for a place in Borneo.

More recently, the club tightened things up with changes in 2023 to meet Asian Football Confederation standards. A new Omega digital scoreboard now hangs above the pitch, and the floodlights have been upgraded. This year, the stadium went further, becoming the first in Malaysia to install an independent VAR system for league matches. It is a small detail, but it signals a change in the local game.

The pitch itself is natural grass, maintained on a tight schedule. It is a multi-purpose venue, but the football is where the history lies. The stadium does not have its own website; the club manages its presence through the Sabah Sports Council and the MYSpaCE portal.
