Loro Boriçi

The ground in Shkodër does not hide. The building itself tells a story older than the current look.

The stadium opened on May 1, 1952, originally named Vojo Kushi Stadium. It served as the home of KF Vllaznia from the beginning and hosted Albania national team matches for over a decade. But the structure you see now belongs to a different time. A complete reconstruction finished on August 29, 2016, after the venue had been closed for nearly two years. The venue was rebuilt with seating for 16,022 spectators, a slight reduction from the original standing capacity.

On the pitch, the grass is natural, cut short and striped. The address remains a matter of dispute, cited variously as Rruga Musa Luli 1 or Rruga Djepaxhijej 2, but the location is unmistakable. The district of Kongresi i Permeti surrounds it with high-rise blocks.

The pitch has seen significant moments. A record crowd of 16,000 watched Albania beat Russia 3–1 in a UEFA Euro 2004 qualifier on March 29, 2003. More recently, it hosted Kosovo's first competitive match as a FIFA member against Croatia on October 6, 2016. The ground is quiet now, but the colours on the seats remain loud.
