What sets this stadium apart is the precision of its history. While many grounds have blurred origins, this one has a specific moment that defines its place in the country's football calendar. On June 7, 1994, the stadium hosted the final of the first Slovak Cup.
The stadium serves as the home ground for FK Brezno, but it has also played host to others. FK Železiarne Podbrezová used the pitch as a temporary home during the 2014–2015 season and again from 2025 onwards, when they played in the Slovak First Football League (Niké liga) and lacked a top-flight compliant venue.
