The Möslestadion does not announce itself with a nameplate. The surface is natural grass .
The wooden benches behind the glassed-in press area are protected as monuments, a reminder that the stadium has kept its original bones while replacing everything else that was supposed to be replaceable.
The original tenants, Freiburger FC, left in 2000 when the structure of German football shifted, and SC Freiburg moved in. They have never needed a sponsor's name on the roof.
FC Nürnberg drew more people than the town could easily house. The stadium does not hide behind advertising hoardings.
