Multifunktionshalle der Hermann-Neuberger-Sportschule
Saarbrücken, Germany
The Multifunktionshalle der Hermann-Neuberger-Sportschule sits in the Halberg area of the Dudweiler district in **Saarbrücken**. While the postal code 66123 is often associated with the St. Johann district, the grounds are administratively linked to the nearby municipality of **Heusweiler**.
The hall opened sometime after August 2011, when a PAN GEO project document noted it was under construction, and was certainly in use by 2012. It holds a modest capacity of 1,400 spectators, a figure recorded by the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) for the Table Tennis Champions League, though ProTicket lists a general capacity of 700 people. The facility is also known as Sportcampus Saar or Halle 80.
Its primary residents are the proWIN Volleys TV Holz volleyball team and 1. FC Saarbrücken TT, the local table tennis side. The playing surface of the main indoor hall is unclear, but the wider facility includes outdoor football pitches with one artificial turf pitch.
