Oktyabr

Oktyabr sits far from the arenas that host title races, at Zhivopisnaya Street 21, building 3. The reserve and academy sides of CSKA train and play there now: CSKA's youth squad, the under-17s, and the women's team, alongside Russia's youth national side.

Growth here came sideways rather than upward. No stand was ever expanded to chase a bigger crowd; instead, from 2008 the complex added a junior pitch, and by 2015 further mini-pitches and a second full-size field had gone in alongside the main one. The result reads less like a stadium expansion and more like a training campus that happened to keep its old name and its natural grass centre pitch throughout.
