Park View Road

The ground sits on Park View Road in Welling, where the road cuts through a residential stretch of the London Borough of Bexley. It is not a place defined by its scale, holding just 4,500 spectators, but by the way it has held its tenants through decades of fluctuation. The Graham Hobbins Stand, the main stand, dates to 1950. Since 1977, that side has called the place home.

The site has seen fire before. In 1997, Erith & Belvedere lost their own Park View Road in Belvedere to a blaze, and moved here a year later. They remain tenants. Football has been played here since the 1920s, with the official record settling on 1925. The surface is natural grass, a standard feature that has seen little change despite plans for an artificial pitch by August 2026.

The highest attendance of 4,100 came on 22 November 1989, when Welling defeated Gillingham 1-0 in the first round of the FA Cup. The match against Blackburn on 8 March 2015 was the club’s first televised home game, broadcast on BT Sport. The stadium received its first sponsorship name, J Hearnden Skip Hire Community Stadium, in 2023.

A grandstand was built by the late 1930s, originally associated with Bexley United or its predecessors. The ground has no undersoil heating.
