The ground sits in a pine wood on the edge of Kidričevo, which is where it was cut in 1951 — the stand went up among the trees on 8 April that year, built by Gradis, the same firm that put up much of the settlement around it.

For most of its life the ground kept the shape it was given. A modest reworking in 2012 changed little. The real break came in 2017, when the original stand was pulled down and replaced with a covered structure holding 600, and floodlights were raised over the pitch for the first time.

The second stage followed in 2023, when a further 600 seats were placed alongside the main stand.

There is no running track. Beyond the main pitch, the sports park holds a second, artificial surface, while the match pitch itself is grass.
