Športni park Ugasle peči

Prevalje, Slovenia

Formerly: Stadion na Prevaljah, Stadion Korotan

The ground at Prevalje takes its name from the extinguished furnaces that once stood nearby — Športni park Ugasle peči — a nod to the ironworking past of a valley town that otherwise has little to announce itself on a footballing map. The pitch has stood since 1942, and what followed reads as a slow accumulation rather than a single rebuild: terracing added in 1964, dressing rooms and stands refreshed in 1999, and then, between 2012 and 2013, a proper overhaul that gave the venue its current name along with a running track and a new playing surface.

That last renovation is also where the record gets murky. The club's own site now describes the pitch as artificial turf, laid down as part of the 2012–2013 work, while other databases still list it as natural grass — a discrepancy that likely reflects the gap between when each source was last updated rather than any change since.

Capacity sits at a modest figure, split between roughly 500 seats and standing room for a few hundred more, though one widely cited database rounds the whole ground up to 1,000. It has never needed to hold more. NK Korotan Prevalje, formed in 1933, have called it home through nine seasons in Slovenia's top flight — enough to give the place a place in the national game, without ever pulling it out of the shadow of the old furnaces it's named for.
