ServiceFM Stadium
Adelaide, Australia
Formerly: State Centre for Football
The ground sits at the corner of Matildas Drive and Briens Road in Gepps Cross. It is just a pitch surrounded by grass hills and a small grandstand holding a thousand seats. The rest of the seven thousand come in on the slopes. You can see the difference immediately.
The surface is hybrid grass, and the training area is a tangle of synthetic patches and five-a-side courts tucked behind the fence. LED scoreboards hang from the rafters. The first competitive match was played in April 2022, though the official opening came later in July. The name ServiceFM Stadium is a sponsorship arrangement; the original title, State Centre for Football, still appears in the paperwork. The Adelaide Comets used the ground until 2024 before moving on, and now the United women and the youth side run the show. There are no major structural changes, no rebuilds, no attempts to turn it into anything it is not.
