Sportpark De Beek

The main stand at Sportpark De Beek sits in Halsteren, a town in the province of Noord-Brabant.

Two clubs share the ground. RKSV Halsteren has been there since the club was founded in 1926; VVC '68 moved in after its own formation in 1968. The main pitch, known locally as Veld E, holds 1,800 people. A smaller field, Veld G, sits within the same grounds and takes another thousand. Tennis at HTV and athletics at Olympia use the space too, though the football pitches are the centre of the place.

The stadium is not large, but it is complete. The stands are close to the touchline, and the track around the pitch is a narrow strip of gravel. The roof on the main stand covers only the seating area; the rest of the ground is open to the weather. The distance from the nearest town centre is short — Halsteren is small enough that the park feels like part of the street. The ground has no permanent floodlights, so evening fixtures are rare. There is no main entrance gate visible from the air photograph; the crowd simply flows through the gaps in the fence.
