Sportpark De Biezen
Dongen, Netherlands
The ground at Procureurweg 2 serves as the home for VV Dongen , a club established in 1923. It is not an imposing structure, but a local standard affair in the province of North Brabant. The main stand dates from 1984, and beyond that, the layout is unremarkable.
What sets the venue apart is its history with KNVB Cup matches against professional opposition. On 21 September 2016, Go Ahead Eagles visited, running out 3–1 winners. The following year, on 20 October 2022, VVV Venlo came to town, and the local side held them for a 2–1 defeat. That match drew 1,500 spectators, a figure that remains the highest confirmed attendance for the ground.
The capacity sits at 1,800 seats, though only 300 are covered. In 2023, the club marked its centenary with events held at this location. There are no former names for the stadium itself, and the identity of the site is simply tied to the club and the street.
While there is another facility with the same name in Nijmegen, used for rugby and school sports, this ground is purely a footballing home.
