Štadión Kysucké Nové Mesto

The stadium itself is not a monument. It is a place that has seen seasons change without a great deal of fanfare. The capacity is often cited as 5,000, but the reality is far quieter, with perhaps 2,000 seats ever really used.

Football here goes back to the 1920s, long before the current structures were raised. The club was founded in 1948, originally as ŠK Slovan Kysucké Nové Mesto. They played in the second league during the 1960s and 1970s, which means this ground once held a different kind of crowd. It is difficult to imagine the noise now.
