Stadion Miejski im. Czesława Krygiera

Stadion Miejski im. Czesława Krygiera sits on ul. Sportowa 2 in Świdnik. The club MKS Avia Świdnik, founded in 1952, called a basic field here before the original infrastructure opened in 1964. Earth embankment stands held a nominal capacity of 5,000 and occasionally attracted crowds of up to 7,000, but the poor condition of the stands saw the original stadium demolished in October 2012. A complete rebuild took place between 2012 and 2014. The new stadium opened on 26 July 2014 with a friendly against Widzew Łódź, which ended 0–3 in front of a crowd of 2,500. The capacity is 2,800 spectators, with a main grandstand in the south and a smaller one in the north, plus a training field and parking for 140 cars. The playing surface is artificial turf with no under-soil heating. From 2014 until June 2025 it was known as Stadion Miejski w Świdniku; the renaming came in honour of Czesław Krygier, a former Avia player and long-time youth coach. The club spent 21 seasons in the Polish Second League between 1973 and 1999 and hosted Ruch Chorzów in the Polish Cup 1/16 finals in the 2023/2024 season. The construction project faced delays and irregularities in the tender process, leading to the municipality returning a portion of the EU subsidy in 2017.
