The ground has kept its original name through every change, but the surface has evolved. The original earthen banks that once surrounded the track are gone, replaced by a playing field equipped with a glycol-based heating system installed in 2021. This allowed the club to host a final for the **UEFA** Women's Under-19 Championship in 2025.

The stadium is not just a venue for football. It hosts the Europejski Stadion Kultury music festival. Yet the history of the ground is rooted in the sport. The official attendance record of 30,000 spectators was set in 1975 during a Polish Cup quarter-final against Pogoń Szczecin, a match the home side won after extra time. That number belongs to a different era, when the ground held more than it can today.

Ownership passed to the city in 2006, and the club continues to use the ground as its home. It is a place where the past and the present sit side by side.
