The club itself has roots stretching back to 1931, originally founded as Slavoj Námestovo. Attendance figures tell a story of occasional excitement; the highest recorded crowd of 2,500 came long ago, in 1933, during a friendly against the Polish side Żywiec. Since then, the numbers have settled into the realm of the club’s regular supporters. The stadium has seen its share of results, from convincing wins to heavy defeats, all played out under the open sky.
