Štadión Spišská Nová Ves

The ground at Kožuchová 10 is separated from the town centre by a railway line. The main stand is a concrete structure that dates back to the stadium’s opening in 1928, though the wooden terraces that once flanked it have long since been replaced by concrete.

The 2018 renovation stripped the earthen banks away and levelled the perimeter. The capacity was reduced from approximately 10,000 to 4,000 spectators to meet modern safety standards. There are 795 fixed seats in total, with 320 allocated for visiting supporters. The playing surface is artificial turf, laid flat over the compacted earth.

Sponsorship deals have shifted the name of the venue. It was known as Spiš Aréna, and later became Tiposbet Arena. The official name remains Štadión Spišská Nová Ves. The club, FK Spišská Nová Ves, plays its home fixtures here. The pitch is not natural grass, and there is no undersoil heating system to mitigate the cold Slovak winters.

The stadium is unremarkable in architecture. It is a functional space for local football. The stands are low, and the view from the terraces is restricted by the surrounding railway embankments. The club’s website directs fans to the correct address, though older maps may still show the former street numbers along T. Vansovej. The ground is not a destination for tourists; it is a place for the local community to watch their team play.
