Stadion Zavolsky FOK

The stadium in Zavolzhye traces back to 1952, when a running track and stands built for 3,000 spectators went up as the core of what became the town's sports complex, run today as the municipal Zavolzhsky FOK. What followed over the next four decades reads like the growth of a self-contained sporting district rather than a single ground: a sports pavilion in 1954, a dedicated sports house in 1970, a swimming pool in 1976, a shooting range the year after, an indoor firing range in 1980, a further athletics building in 1990, an open tennis court in 1992, a ski base in 1993.

The pitch itself is a newer story. In 2021 the ground was rebuilt with an artificial surface and an upgraded drainage system, reopening on 30 December 2021 with the playing surface it uses now.

FC Volna Zavolzhye, playing in the PFL's second-tier League B, calls it home, sharing the wider complex with the Motor basketball side, futsal teams and amateur clubs that keep the facility busy well beyond matchdays.
