Stadionul Dumitru Mătărău

Ștefăneștii de Jos is one of the two villages that make up the commune, and the pitch sits just over the boundary in Ștefăneștii de Sus, on Strada Stadionului.

Opened in 1970, the Stadionul Dumitru Mătărău has spent most of its life as the home pitch of CSL Ștefănești, the local club, which has held the tenancy since 1997. Between 2009 and 2012 the ground went through a rebuild, and it kept its natural grass surface throughout rather than switching to an artificial pitch.
