Stadionul Municipal Gaz Metan
Mediaș, Romania
Formerly: Stadionul Municipal, Stadionul Gaz Metan
The ground sits at Piața Regele Ferdinand nr. 12 in Mediaș, a town in Sibiu County, Romania.
The stadium was built in 1945, the same year the local club was founded. While the club has gone through various name changes over the decades, the ground has remained the centre of activity for the town's football. The original capacity was smaller, but a major renovation in 2010 brought the number of all-seater seats up to 7,814. That project also included a new floodlight system described at the time as the best in the country, allowing for matches under the lights.
The venue has hosted European football, most notably during the club's run in the UEFA Europa League in 2011–12. It has also served as a temporary home for other teams, including Universitatea Cluj, while their own stadium was being built.
The club that called this ground home closed down in 2022. Since then, the site has seen less maintenance, and the official website for the club is no longer active. The ground itself still stands.
