The Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium. The seats themselves carry the colours of the flag, arranged in blocks of blue, white and green that stretch across the stands.

For years, the ground carried a heavier weight before it was stripped back. The stadium was rebuilt for the 1999 SEA Games, when a second roof layer and a new scoreboard were removed. That renovation reset the capacity, though the royal dais added in 1992 remained a fixture for visiting dignitaries. More recently, the venue closed for a long stretch of work, forcing the national team to shuffle their home matches to the Track & Field Sports Complex while the structure was reinforced. The stadium fell silent during the rebuild, extended its unbeaten run at hosting major events only after the doors reopened.

DPMM FC have played on this grass since they joined the Malaysian league system in 2000, bringing a level of competition that the local squad has not always matched. The national side has used the ground since its opening in 1983, though they have not won since their early days in regional tournaments. The stadium saw the game out when it hosted group matches for the 2018 AFF Championship, and it has stretched the back line of visiting teams in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Things came to a head during the 2018 qualifiers against Indonesia, where the hosts were dominant in the air from set plays.

Beyond football, the ground hosts the National Day celebrations, where thousands gather on the track and the stands alike. The atmosphere is usually tight and organised, with security forces patrolling the perimeter. The electronic scoreboard that replaced the old unit in 1999 now flashes results for local schools and community events when the football is not being played.
